Child Safety Standards

Last updated: 2026-07-04

Theta has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). These standards describe our rules, how users can report concerns, and how we respond.

1. Zero Tolerance

We prohibit any content, behavior, or activity that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers children. This includes child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sexualization of minors, and any attempt to use Theta to harm children.

2. Prohibited Content and Conduct

Users must not:

  • Upload, share, request, or link to CSAM or content that sexualizes minors
  • Use Theta to contact minors for sexual purposes or grooming
  • Post content that facilitates exploitation or abuse of children
  • Evade enforcement or help others do so

  • Violations result in immediate content removal, account suspension or termination, and reporting to relevant authorities where required by law.

    3. In-App Reporting

Theta provides in-app reporting so users can flag harmful content. You can report:

  • Events from the event details screen
  • Reviews from review interactions
  • Comments on reviews

  • Choose a reason such as Inappropriate or offensive or Something else, and describe the issue (including any child safety concern). Our moderation team reviews every report.

    4. How We Respond

When we receive a report or detect a violation, we:

  • Review the content and account promptly
  • Remove violating content and restrict or terminate accounts
  • Preserve relevant information as required for investigations
  • Report confirmed CSAM and serious child safety matters to appropriate regional and national authorities and organizations, in accordance with applicable law
  • 5. Legal Compliance

We comply with applicable child safety laws and cooperate with law enforcement and authorized organizations. We maintain processes to prevent, detect, and respond to CSAE on our platform.
